I discovered many shops that sold arts and crafts. Beautiful items such as jewelry, clothes, and hats. In this faire I learned what it means to be a rennie; a fan of renaissance festivals. Not only was I in costume, but I felt like a real adventurer because it was the first time I traveled solo. All the planning and money paid off though, I had new experiences. I met people who were passionate about their craft: blacksmiths, mediums, and artists. I also enjoyed performances by thespians and jesters. Renaissance faires are great opportunities to study art and culture for an affordable price.
